<p class="C1">&#65279FATEH SI&#7748GH (d. 1716), an army commander under Band&#257 Si&#7749gh Bah&#257dur, who was appointed administrator of Sam&#257&#7751&#257 after the town was occupied by the Sikhs in 1709. Fateh Si&#7749gh participated in several of Band&#257 Si&#7749gh's battles against the Mu<u>gh</u>al rulers. In the battle of Sirhind fought at the nearby village of Chappar Chi&#7771&#299, Fateh Si&#7749gh killed Naw&#257b Waz&#299r <u>Kh</u>&#257n, the <i>faujd&#257r</i> of Sirhind. He was taken prisoner at Lohga&#7771h in December 1710 and, after several years in jail, was executed in Delhi in June 1716 along with Band&#257 Si&#7749gh and his other companions.</p>
