<p class="C1">&#65279GAD&#298&#256L, a village in Ropa&#7771 district of the Punjab about 18 km east of Ga&#7771hsha&#7749kar, is sacred to Gur&#363 Gobind Si&#7749gh, who arrived here in 1700 from Khe&#7771&#257 Kalmo&#7789 and stayed awhile under a fig tree. A memorial in the form of a small platform built around the fig tree with a 5-metre-high Nish&#257n S&#257hib marks the spot.</p>
