<p class="C1">&#65279KHEM KAUR, daughter of Jodh Si&#7749gh Kal&#257lv&#257l&#257 and grand daughter of S&#257hib Si&#7749gh Bha&#7749g&#299 of Gujr&#257t, was married in 1816 to Prince Kha&#7771ak Si&#7749gh, eldest son of Mah&#257r&#257j&#257 Ra&#7751j&#299t Si&#7749gh. She survived her husband and helped anti-British forces in the second Anglo-Sikh war (1849) for which reason her <i>j&#257g&#299rs</i> were considerably reduced.</p>
