<p class="C1">&#65279S&#256HIB SI&#7748GH, a resident of S&#257&#7749gl&#257 Hill in present-day Faisal&#257b&#257d district of Pakistan, was a veteran of the <u>Kh</u>&#257ls&#257 army under Mah&#257r&#257j&#257 Ra&#7751j&#299t Si&#7749gh and his successors. After the first Anglo-Sikh war (1845-46), he joined the rebellious band of Bh&#257&#299 Mah&#257r&#257j Si&#7749gh (d.1856). He commanded the contingent of 400 horsemen that Bh&#257&#299 Mah&#257r&#257j Si&#7749gh took out to Mult&#257n in June 1848 in aid of D&#299w&#257n M&#363l R&#257j.</p>
